Opening Reflection: The World As We Know It Is Ending

Is the world as we know it going to end?

Yes.

If you meant what you said when you marched for George Floyd, if you meant what you said when you finally told your parents the truth, then yes — the world as we know it is coming to an end.

Because this world was not built with your freedom in mind.

Because this world was founded on Black abjection.

Every system you thought could be reformed, every institution you believed could be convinced, every law you hoped would protect you — it was all designed to uphold a version of reality where your full humanity was never part of the equation.

So now that you know that, what are you going to do?
