Empire runs on an invulnerable god.
Not the God revealed in weakness. Not the God who bleeds, who weeps, who enters into suffering.
No — the God of empire is all-powerful, untouchable, unshakable.
The God of empire is a fortress, not a presence.
The God of empire is a weapon, not a witness.
And its greatest tool?
Binary-induced shame.
How Empire Weaponized God
Every empire needs a justification for its power.
It needs a God who cannot be questioned, a theology that cannot be challenged, a system that feels absolute.
And so, over centuries, we reshaped God into the ultimate image of invulnerability:
• All-powerful so no one can resist Him.
• All-knowing so no one can question Him.
• Everywhere at once so no one can escape Him.
This God doesn’t invite relationship — He demands obedience.
This God doesn’t suffer — He punishes.
This God doesn’t love freely — He conditions love on submission.
And the best way to enforce submission?
Shame.
